Filming Star Wars: The Last Jedi in Kerry, Ireland

Kerry, a stunning county located along Ireland’s South west coast, made an impact on the big screen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and once again in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

A series of scenes were shot on the majestic Island of Skellig Michael and Ceann Sibéal in the Dingle Peninsula.

The Islands of Skellig, referred to as Great Skellig and little Skellig, is not only sacred to the Jedi but has, for 1000s of years, represented a place of pilgrimage and cultural significance. This fact coupled with the wealth of flora, fauna, marine and birdlife on the Islands, this stunning area has been granted Unesco World Heritage status.
