Excitement is building at Malin Head with the official launch of The May The Fourth Be With You Festival. To mark the upcoming festivities a local road has been renamed as R2-D2, to promote the areas connection to Star Wars.
Malin Head road renamed R2-D2
The road, originally called R242, has been renamed for the eagerly anticipated Star Wars inspired Festival.
The Minister for Education Joe Mc Hugh, along with Go Visit Inishowen Tourism Staff and business owners in the area were out to officially launch the occasion.
Events will take place from the 3rd to the 5th of May along the Wild Atlantic Way in Inishowen, Donegal. As you can see above fans and costume groups were out in full force
